Dr. Vega DNP Has Poster Session on Her Research with Nurse Practitioners Using StressPal Frontline at The Joy In Medicine Initiative Symposium 2026, Hosted by Houston Methodist
We were delighted that Dr. Kristen Neimiller-Vega held a poster session showcasing key findings in scholarly research with ~190 Nurse Practitioners from a large health organization, who participated in the StressPal Frontline stress response training platform. The well-attended Joy in Medicine Initiative symposium event was hosted by Houston Methodist. Dr. Vega reported statistically significant changes in improved resilience and reduced stress using validated psychometrics, along with strong self-reports on improved skills in functionality, communication and valued-based action in pressured situations. As an indication of interest in receiving this stress response training, the available “seats” were over-subscribed in a couple of hours after the first announcement was made to the organization’s NPs. Engagement and completion exceeded 72% during the 90-day study window. StressPal’s co-founder, Pennie Sempell, co-presented with Dr. Vega.
