Optum NPs Engage in StressPal Frontline Study

Investigator Kristen Neimiller-Vega, FNP, has closed her doctoral dissertation study with about 140 nurse practitioners at Optum Health, who enrolled in the StressPal Frontline resilience intervention. We were delighted to see enrollment oversubscribed on the first day it was announced, and to see such candid engagement in their dedicated peer community! Completion rates are excellent, too, as NPs claim that big bundle of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 credits, and 12 ANCC contact hours, plus 12 Interprofessional CEs.

In their private community, learners anonymously posted about common stress-triggered behaviors that they see at work, such as sarcasm, avoidance and defensiveness. They spoke at length about the immediately applicable stress resilience strategies they learned, and the value of the program in their work and personal lives.

Kristen will be analyzing her data this coming month. Our team at StressPal looks forward to reading her manuscript, and seeing it published. We will keep you posted!
